KEY POINTS:
A taxi driver is due in court after allegedly kidnapping and indecently assaulting a female passenger early last Friday morning.
Police said the 50-year-old had been charged with assault with intent to commit sexual violation, abduction and indecent assault.
The driver will appear in Auckland District Court later today.
The 24-year-old alleged victim said she caught a taxi about 1.15am and was assaulted after the friend she was travelling with was dropped off in Auckland city.
