Tax on the minds of many voters

A poll released last night suggests tax cuts may loom larger in the public's decision-making at the ballot box than Labour hopes.

The Colmar Brunton poll for TVNZ's Sunday programme asked voters to list which of eight issues would have the biggest influence on their voting.

Of those surveyed, 26 per cent said healthcare funding and resources and 25 per cent said tax cuts.

The poll of 1000 voters was done between July 11 and 14 and had a margin of error of 3.2 per cent.
