KEY POINTS:
The Working for Families package will be fully implemented on Sunday and three out of every four eligible families will qualify for an extra $10 a child a week, the Government said yesterday.
Social Development Minister David Benson-Pope said that by the end of the year about 360,000 families would be receiving tax credits through the programme.
"Nearly all families earning under $70,000, many families earning up to $100,000, and some larger families earning more, now qualify for Working for Families," he said.
Under the programme, eligible families get tax credits, depending on income and the number of children they have.
