Tauranga police warn motorists over ice

Tauranga police are urging drivers to be careful because of icy conditions.

Police had received a number of reports of icy conditions in the upper Kaimai Ranges, on the Tauranga Direct Road through to Rotorua, and on Te Matai Road and Oropi Road.

While all roads were open, police said the conditions were expected to worsen.

Drivers should be very careful, police said.
