A Tauranga man has pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of father-of-two David Armstrong, who was knocked of his bike in January.
Dillon Michael Bishop, 21, appeared before Justice Rodney Hansen in the High Court at Rotorua today.
According to police, Bishop was driving a Nissan Skyline on January 8 in a way which endangered human life and without taking reasonable care to avoid such danger, thereby causing the death of Mr Armstrong.
Mr Armstrong and his wife were cycling through The Lakes subdivision when he was struck. He died at the scene and his wife suffered minor injuries.
Bishop is due back in the High Court on October 17 for sentencing.
