Two people remain in serious condition following a three-vehicle crash in Taupo today.
Police said one person was taken to Waikato Hospital and another taken to Rotorua Hospital for treatment. Both patients were airlifted by helicopter.
Police said the crash happened just after 5pm at Hatepe Hill, on State Highway 1.
There was a large backlog of traffic following the accident, but the road has since been cleared and traffic is now flowing freely.
