"The idea is to emulate to some extent the kind of feeling that can be found at those events."
Peak's Oktoberfest will be a family-friendly affair and camping sites will be available for $10 a site.
Mr Morgan said the Masterton District Brass Band will be performing some "reasonably authentic beer garden music" and Wairarapa band Grafia and musician Stefan Brown will be playing a mix of original songs and covers.
Guests were encouraged to get into the spirit of the festival and don traditional Bavarian costumes, with spot prizes on offer for the best-dressed or most outrageous outfit.
Mr Morgan said his brews conform to the idea of a "pure" German beer as they contain only malt, hops, water, and yeast.
The beers are also vegan, as no animal products are used as fining agents.
The longest-running craft brewery in Wairarapa, Peak is one of only three organic breweries in the country, Mr Morgan said.
Established eight years ago as a "hobby that's gotten out of control", Peak's beer was in demand from expats with a taste for British and European style beers and those developing a taste for craft beer, Mr Morgan said.
It is the second year Mr Morgan has run the Oktoberfest event, which he said may become an annual fixture if its success continues.
Entry to the event is free, with beer on sale for $5 a glass.
The brewery will be open on scheduled hours from Friday, October 23 to Monday, October 26, with the main event taking place on Sunday, October 25 from 1pm-7pm.
