A body found in Taranaki on Friday has been identified as that of teenager Rowdel Jay Flyger who had been missing since December 16.
The body of the 17-year-old was found in bush near a Waitara walkway by two residents, the Daily News reported today.
Senior Sergeant Allan Whaley said on Friday the body had been in the bush for up to two weeks and there were no suspicious circumstances.
The death has been referred to the coroner.
