Muses will be mapped and mastered at a free art and creativity workshop at Aratoi Wairarapa Museum of Art and History on Thursday.
Jonathan Milne, the founder of Wellington art school The Learning Connexion (TLC), said he "believes passionately that education needs to be revolutionised and that creativity is the answer".
He and his wife, Alice Wilson Milne, who are TLC directors, are leading a two-hour workshop on art and creativity from 7pm on March 7.
Milne said there are three elements at the core of his artistic philosophy and the workshop "gently" fosters these elements for students, drawing out inspiration "rather than stuffing it in".
"A sense of wonder is essential - we need to keep our eyes open to the beauty of the world around us. A sense of belonging, because we need to feel useful and comfortable in our community. And a sense of purpose - we need to know where to direct our skills."
