House-bound for a year and passing time by giving tired and worn tapestries a new lease of life by turning them into vibrant cushions, led Pam Wickstead into her latest business venture.
Tapestry, next to Forest Food Organics on Greytown's Main St, is an eclectic mix of taxidermy animals, framed butterfly collections, industrial lights, retro goods and French furniture.
"I believe in real things, items that have history. Whether it be creating them from scratch with vintage fabrics or giving something that's ruined and worn a fresh lease on life," said Ms Wickstead.
After two clothing stalls and an Italian restaurant, Ms Wickstead thought her days of running businesses were over.
But after an accident that kept her at home for a year she decided to open a shop filled with old, new and up-cycled things she loved, with hours that suited her.
