The weekend road toll has risen to four after a fatal crash in Bay of Plenty last night.
Police said one person was confirmed dead after a crash at 7pm involving a milk tanker and car on State Highway 29 at Pyes Pa.
Three other people died on the roads at the weekend.
Yesterday morning a 23-year-old woman was killed in the Auckland suburb of Pakuranga after being run over by a car.
On Friday night Sania Kylene Arohana King, 6, of Hamilton died in a crash involving a truck and a people mover on Mt Wellington Highway in Auckland.
A 16-year-old girl was injured in the same crash.
Police said the northbound truck clipped the back of the southbound people mover, carrying five people. Also on Friday night a 44-year-old woman died when the car she was driving collided head-on with another vehicle just south of Winton, near Invercargill.
