Dr Tamara Cvetanova, a 42-year-old resident of Christchurch, died following the collapse of the CTV building.
She was studying at the King's Education language school when the earthquake struck.
Tamara, originally from Serbia, spoke by cellphone to her husband, Srecko, on and off for almost three hours while trapped but she was not able to be saved.
She is survived by her husband and two children, Todor and Katerina.
