Negotiations are resuming between Air New Zealand and unions over the future of the airline's engineers.
More than 600 people stand to lose their jobs if the national carrier shifts heavy maintenance operations offshore.
Unions have a counter proposal that will save 300 positions, but Andrew Little from the Engineers Union says it seems Air New Zealand wants more concessions.
He is worried about comments from the airline about the need for extensive labour reforms.
