A steady stream of mourners are visiting Parliament's main foyer to sign a condolence book for the Queen Mother.
About 180 paid their respects both yesterday and Sunday, said security supervisor David Cunningham.
They were generally older and middle-aged people although there were some young ones.
The book, put in place on Sunday morning, will remain available to the public from 8am to 6pm each day until the funeral at Westminster Abbey in London on April 9.
A New Zealand memorial service will be held, probably in Wellington, after that.
Flags on Government buildings will remain at half mast for the next few days.
In Auckland, St Mary's in Holy Trinity Church, Parnell, will hold a memorial service for the Queen Mother at noon on April 9.
A condolence book is open every day for mourners to sign.
