The 29 year-old man arrested for suppressing evidence in this week's Taita murder case will remain behind bars until at least next month.
The accused man appeared in a blue boiler suit in the Hutt Valley District Court this morning.
He showed little emotion, said nothing, and Justice of the Peace P.J. Ryan granted him interim name suppression.
Police alleged the defendant, a Hutt Valley resident, knew 39 year-old Adam Watkins was murdered in Taita, Lower Hutt, on Thursday, and he helped dispose of evidence.
It's understood police were looking for a woman in relation to the homicide.
