A man arrested for tagging a bridge in Oamaru on Tuesday made matters worse by allegedly attempting to steal the police camera that took his mugshot.
Senior Sergeant Jason McCoy, of Oamaru, said the 21-year-old, arrested with a 19 year-old man, attempted to conceal the camera in his underwear "asif we wouldn't notice''.
Both men were charged with intentional damage, and the 21 year-old, who had earlier threatened witnesses, was also charged with theft.
