KEY POINTS:
The South Auckland businessman charged with murdering a tagger is likely to be out of prison next month.
Bruce William Emery, 50, consented to be remanded in custody for another week when he made his third appearance in Manukau District Court today on a charge of murdering 15-year-old Pihema Clifford Cameron on January 26.
In court his lawyer Chris Comeskey said Emery consented to stay in custody until next Friday when a bail application would be heard. Crown prosecutor Richard Marchant said bail would not be opposed.
Last week Emery appeared in court in a white shirt, tie and dark trousers. Today he wore a white shirt, no tie and board shorts, apparently after prison authorities misplaced his trousers and tie.
In the public gallery about 15 supporters of the dead youth and his family sat quietly as Emery stood in the dock.
