A selection of Snifters, Tangy Fruits, Orange Sparkles and Raspberry Sparkles are up for grabs on the online auction, though the prices could leave a sour taste.

Gisborne seller, nessa150, is offering The Big Snifter Deal - five boxes and one bag of Snifters, one pot of Tangy Fruits, five packets of Orange Sparkles and three of Raspberry Sparkles - with a "buy now" price of $105.

One Trade Me member asked the seller: "Are they gold-plated or encrusted in diamonds?"

"Wow only worth about $25, $30 at the most!" commented another.

Manufacture of the lollies ended last September when Cadbury Schweppes, owner of the Pascall brand, decided they were not economically viable. Fans retain hope of a comeback, with more than 2300 members on a "Bring back Snifters, Sparkles and Tangy Fruits" Facebook site.
