A British scientist has clinched a £28,000 ($71,000) grant to fund research into how New Zealand-made honey can combat the killer MRSA superbug.
When microbiologist Dr Rose Cooper, based at the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff, began studying the health benefits of honey eight years ago, she said people thought "she was off her trolley".
But now cash from the British Society for Anti-Microbial Chemotherapy will fund her research for 12 months.
