Queenstown police are investigating the out-of-character disappearance of a Swedish man living in the Central Otago resort, who has not been seen for several weeks.
Christoffer Tornberg, 23, was reported missing on Monday after friends and work colleagues had not seen or heard from him for several weeks, said Detective Grant Miller.
The last confirmed sighting was on October 6 in Queenstown.
Police contacted his next-of-kin in Sweden and they were also concerned that they had not heard from him, Mr Miller said.
Mr Tornberg was described as European, 1.8m tall, with blue eyes and of medium build. He was last seen wearing a black leather jacket, blue jeans and dark coloured T-shirt.
