A swarm of earthquakes have struck in Hawke's Bay and Taupo this morning.
The largest quake, a magnitude 4.3, struck 30 kilometres south-east of Hastings at 8.49am. It was 30 km deep and felt from Waipawa to Napier, GeoNet reported.
Just two minutes earlier a magnitude 3.3 struck 20 km south of Hastings at a depth of 20 km. It was felt in Hawke's Bay.
While in Taupo a magnitude 2.9 quake struck at 3.07am, 10km west of Taupo and at a depth of 5km. It was felt in Taupo, GeoNet said.
And at 4.55am a magnitude 2.4 quake struck 1km west of Taupo and at a depth of 2km. It was felt in Acacia Bay.
