A house fire in Auckland overnight is being treated as suspicious.
Six trucks were sent to deal with the blaze on George St in Mt Eden just after 3:30am. It is believed the wooden, two-storey house was unoccupied at the time.
In Northland, firefighters had a 30 minute drive to reach a fire at a rural property. The home on Kai Iwi Lakes Rd, north of Dargaville, was well alight when they arrived, but firefighters quickly brought it under control.
