Police are investigating a suspicious house fire in Waikato overnight.
Fire Service and police were called to Fife Place in Tokoroa shortly after midnight, and found the house well ablaze, Detective Neville Hawkins said.
It was fortunate the house was unoccupied and that no one was hurt.
He said the blaze was being treated as suspicious and neighbours were being asked if they knew or had seen anyone at the house over the last few weeks.
