A fire at a house under construction south of Auckland yesterday is being treated as suspicious.
Firefighters were called to the house in Martindale Lane, Tuakau, 56km south of Auckland, at 6.09pm yesterday.
Two fire crews were needed to extinguish the blaze, Fire Service northern communications centre shift manager Megan Ruru said.
Ms Ruru said the fire was suspicious and fire safety investigators were this morning trying to establish the exact cause.
She said nobody was injured.
