Authorities are investigating a raft of suspicious fires in the South Island overnight.
Fire Service southern communications spokeswoman Lyn Crosson said crews responded to three fires in the Picton township just after 3am.
Two were on boats parked on trailers, and one was a campervan, she said.
All three vehicles sustained damage, and police and a fire investigator were looking into the cause of the blazes.
The fourth suspicious fire was reported at about 7am in Ashburton on Cass St.
