A fire in a Wellington primary school this morning is being treated as suspicious.
Firefighters were called to Miramar South School on Kauri St about 5.30am where a classroom was on fire.
A fire service spokeswoman said the fire was contained to the classroom. It was extinguished and the room was ventilated.
The cause of the fire was unknown, but it was being treated as suspicious, she said.
Fire safety inspectors were investigating this morning.
It is the second suspicious fire at the school this year.
Two months ago a classroom wall was set alight and a car parked nearby was burnt out.
