Suspicious fire at church

An overnight fire at St Paul's Trinity Church in Christchurch is being treated as suspicious.

Six fire crews fought the blaze which started shortly before 3.30am.

A Christchurch police spokeswoman said officers had cordoned off the area today as they conducted a scene examination.

The fire was being treated as suspicious, she said.
