Carterton District Council is conducting a survey of its residents to track their opinion on how the council is doing.
Starting tomorrow, people in the district would be telephoned and asked their opinion on a wide-ranging list of services and issues relating to council, and on the services it delivered, said corporate services manager Marty Sebire.
"We have a responsibility to track how well our efforts are carrying through to our residents," said Mr Sebire.
"The best way to do this is to interview a representative cross-section of residents, and to have this done by an independent professional group to ensure impartiality."
The survey will be completed on August 17.
