A Christchurch surgeon has been awarded an international honour for his work in treating facial injuries and deformities.
Oral and maxillofacial surgeon Leslie Snape was awarded the ad eundem fellowship by the Royal College of Surgeons of England at a ceremony in London last week.
He said to be honoured by one's peers was "very special".
