Paige Hareb's quest to improve her standing on the women's world professional surfing tour resumes in Peru this weekend.
The New Zealander is 10th equal on the 17-strong tour, her best performance was a fifth in her home event in Taranaki in mid-April.
She has drawn Peruvian Silvana Lima and Sage Erickson (United States) in her opening-round heat.
Australia's three-time defending champion Stephanie Gilmore (3960) holds a massive 708-point advantage over compatriot Sally Fitzgibbons with five stops remaining.
Hareb has 1632 points to be tied with Australia's Jessi Miley-Dyer.
