A man who appeared in Masterton District Court on Monday , facing six historical charges of indecent assault of a boy under 12, is continuing to receive name suppression.
Defence lawyer Jock Blathwayt said the matter was a historical one which is to be defended. "There is already some substandard evidence," Mr Blathwayt said.
Judge Bill Hastings remanded the accused on bail to reappear on June 21.
Judge Hastings said name suppression would continue until the day of the man's trial.
