The man, whose name and occupation are suppressed, faces a charge of conspiracy to supply the precursor drug pseudoephedrine, possession of the drug for supply, and a third charge of possession of the drug.

It is alleged that between October 2003 and last August, the man acquired thousands of packets of Telfast, a decongestant that contains pseudoephedrine.
The names of the companies involved in the supply of the drugs are suppressed.
The accused allegedly received the first shipment in November 2003. It is believed he paid $3267 in cash.
The purchases continued until last June, when police took an interest.
On June 8, police allegedly found nine cartons of Telfast, 60g of cannabis and $142,000 in cash in an Auckland apartment.
In August, police began to focus on the man, following him as he went to purchase another $24,000 worth of the drug. He was arrested with three others.
