A supermarket worker was left "extremely shaken'' after she was threatened by a knife-wielding man and told not to move in an aggravated robbery north of Wellington this morning (Friday).
The woman was confronted in the office of the Countdown supermarket in Paraparaumu about 5.30am, Detective Sergeant Ian Martin of Kapiti police said.
The robber left with money from the safe and left, "leaving the victim extremely shaken, but unharmed,'' he said.
Police were notified about 7.30am after another staff member found the victim in the office.
Mr Martin said the offender told the woman to remain in the office, and she was not tied up or bound.
