Negotiations between unions and supermarket giant Progressive Enterprises are stalemated.
About 600 workers at Progressive's three distribution centres supplying Foodtown, Countdown, Woolworths, Super Value and Fresh Choice supermarkets went on strike on Friday over pay and holidays, and have since been locked out.
Mediation between Progressive and the workers' unions broke down yesterday, and the unions filed Employment Court proceedings seeking an urgent injunction to prevent other workers being used to do the work of locked-out members.
