Two players who were regular participants in this season's regional superleague competition have been included in the Wairarapa under-17 netball team, named after trials in Masterton on Sunday.
Abby Hull of Wairarapa College was part of the third-placed Wellington development squad side in the superleague series while Harriet Somerville of St Matthew's Collegiate played for eighth-placed Wairarapa.
Coach Robyn Schischka was delighted with the talent on display at the trials and is confident of shaping up well on the representative scene.
The team is: Hope Phillips (Harcourts), Abby Hull, Lisa Morriss, Maria Hodges (Wairarapa College); Harriet Somerville, Sophie Ross, Rosie Broughton, Jesse Smith, Sally Mitchell (St Matthew's Collegiate); Chanel Phillips (Kuranui College).Reserves: Rachel Mawson , Alex Taia, Kelsey Butcher (Wairarapa College); Alex Sinclair (St Matthew's Collegiate).
