It's looking like a fine Easter Monday for most of the country today.
The rain has eased off in Gisborne, and between 15 and 25 millimetres is forecast for the region today.
MetService forecaster Erick Brenstrum says things are looking good for people taking a break elsewhere too.
"It's looking like a pretty good day for a lot of places. There's a bit of rain on the west coast but for a lot of the country, it'll be a fine day."
There'll be strong winds in some marine areas.
