A suicide bomber killed 14 people lining up outside an Iraqi police recruitment centre in Muqdadiya, 90km northeast of Baghdad.
Four United States soldiers were killed: Three died and another was wounded when a bomb exploded near their patrol in Baghdad and the other soldier died in Anbar, bringing to 45 the number of US troops killed this month.
