Eight people, including five university students, have been taken to hospital after two buses collided on Auckland's North Shore this morning.
The buses collided on Taharoto Rd near Smales Farm Bus Station in Takapuna about 8.40am.
St John's paramedics transported eight people in moderate conditions to North Shore Hospital, said spokesman Robbie Walker.
Three ambulances and one scene manager attended the incident, he said.
An Auckland Transport spokesman said the accident happened when one bus clipped another.
He said five people, believed to be university-aged students, were taken to hospital.
A further three people were then also transported.
A Police spokeswoman said officers attended the incident and the passengers were taken to hospital "as a precaution".
The people were being assessed at North Shore Hospital.
Family say there are two people who may have information but are yet to be located.
