Student pilot crash lands

A student pilot has crash-landed at Tauranga Airport.

The pilot, flying a small Cessna 152, was coming into land when the plane's nose wheel collapsed.

A flight instructor says there is minor damage to the plane but the pilot escaped uninjured.

Civil Aviation Authority inspectors are investigating the crash and an internal review will be set up.
