Student in NZ canoe team

Wairarapa College student Chris Atkinson will be part of the New Zealand junior white water slalom canoeing team which will contest the World Cup event in Solvenia next month.
Atkinson, 17, has already competed for New Zealand at age group level and showed he was in good form with a series of fine performances at the recent national secondary schools canoeing championships in Taupo.
A good-sized contingent of Wairarapa canoeists took part there and results included:-
