A 15-year-old student was beaten up in an attempted mugging in central Blenheim yesterday.
The Marlborough Boys' College pupil was walking along Kinross St about 6.45pm when knocked to the ground and punched repeatedly in the face by a man who demanded his wallet.
The teenager managed to break free and seek help from a nearby cinema.
