KEY POINTS:
Arnie might think it too small, but contestants at Brisbane's OzStrongman competition were glad they were pulling the Hummer H3, not its huge sibling the H1.
This is the first time Hummer's in the Strongman event, due to come to New Zealand next year. Among the various challenges, each contestant had to pull a fully fuelled two-tonne Hummer H3 for 25m in 90 seconds. Eighty competitors took the Hummer on.
Kiwi buyers have been less keen, with just 38 sold to October. Nissan Pathfinder and Jeep Cherokee prove off-road ability isn't proof against rising costs, but Hummer also fights the poor image of the mighty H1, which is no longer built.
