Central New Zealand has been rocked by a strong magnitude 4.5 quake.
GeoNet said the 9km-deep quake struck 20km east of Seddon, in Marlborough, at 12.30pm.
More than 200 people have reported feeling the quake on the GeoNet website.
The Fire Service said it had received no reports of damage.
