A strong quake has rocked the central North Island's west coast this morning.
GeoNet said the magnitude 4.8 quake struck 20km north of Opunake, southwest of New Plymouth, Taranaki at 9.05am.
More than 750 people have reported feeling the 18km deep quake on the GeoNet website.
There have been no reports of damage.
