The new home of a boob on a Wellington street sign is no stranger to boobs of a different sort.
Strip club Calendar Girls today won a charity auction for the misspelled 'Topless Tce' sign, which turned heads on Thorndon's Torless Terrace when it was erected earlier this month.
Wellington City Council, which said the sign's misspelling was a genuine mistake decided to auction it on TradeMe, with the proceeds going to the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation.
The auction titillated more than 32,000 viewers before Calendar Girls placed the winning bid of $920 this morning.
The strip club later posted a photo of the sign on its Facebook page with the caption: "Couldn't have gone to a better home!''
