Air New Zealand says it will continue to work with its staff to reach a settlement on pay.
The Flight Attendants and Related Services Association has issued a strike notice, after withdrawing from negotiations yesterday. Staff on international routes are planning to walk off the job on the 18th, 21st and 24th of July.
Air New Zealand spokesman Ed Sims says it is disappointing talks have broken down but the airline will keep trying to avert a strike. Mr Sims says overseas travellers will be advised next week if there is likely to be any impact on international services.
Domestic flights will not be affected.
