Shoppers could have trouble getting the best a man can get this weekend.
Gillette razors were one of several brands the Herald found lacking on the shelves at Foodtown as the Progressive Enterprises distribution workers' industrial action continues.
Progressive has assured customers its Foodtown, Countdown and Woolworths stores are only marginally affected by the action as it continues in mediation talks with the National Distribution Union yesterday.
But economy brands such as Signature Range, Home Brand and Basics were hard-hit by the strike, because most were supermarket-owned and came direct from the distribution centre.
Suppliers of most other brands were delivering directly to supermarkets.
