KEY POINTS:
Police in the upper North Island were kept busy overnight dealing with incidents of disorder, including street fights in Whangarei and Hamilton.
Up to 200 people were reported to have been involved in a fight between partygoers at two separate locations in Raumanga, in Whangarei.
They fought with bottles and sticks and two people suffered serious injuries, with one having been stabbed with a bottle.
Police also said about 20 people were involved in fighting in central Hamilton.
