Police are investigating the sexual assault of a woman in Auckland's CBD early this morning.
Mills Lane, just off Queen Street, was cordoned off following the attack.
Detective Sergeant Andy King, of the Auckland adult sexual assault team, confirmed police were investigating an alleged rape.
He said the incident occurred in the "early hours" of the morning about 2 or 3am.
Police said the woman was dragged from one side of the street towards a carpark during the assault.
