"It's going to be a huge event for Masterton, and a big event for the Kokomai Festival."
Back to the Future was a blockbuster three-part franchise, kicking off in 1985.
In the first movie, Marty McFly, played by Michael J Fox, travels back to 1955 in his scientist friend's time machine.
The second movie has Marty travelling into the future - October 21, 2015.
Regent 3 Cinemas will be showing the original Back to the Future movie which will be complemented with Cafe Strada's 1950s style temporary makeover.
"Strada is going to be kind of transforming the cafe into a 50s-style diner, which is one of the main focal points in the movie, Mr Rogers said.
"So they'll be doing afterschool specials before the movie starts at 4.29pm, so this will be something for kids, grown-ups, the lot."
He said that there has been "a lot of interest" in the event already from within Wairarapa.
"There were many Wairarapa people already following the international campaign and when we said we were going to be doing it at the Regent, people went nuts.
"So from then on people have been booking tickets and getting into the spirit of it, because it was such a big movie and we all love it."
